Feeling very humbled to have had three articles published on my post comparing cellulite to non-cellulite due to different posing ??. I love being able to burst certain perceptions people have about what it means to be ‘fit’, and all of your comments truly make it worth all those negative ones! ???. – Someone DM’d me saying I need to be careful giving out advice on things (diet, exercise etc) because it’s fraudulent.. I think there’s a really interesting divide between personal trainers/ qualified professionals and bloggers ??. A lot of PT’s I’ve come across think bloggers are bs/ don’t know what they’re talking about & that there’s so much incorrect information out there. Sadly this is true, but not just for those who’re unqualified ?. There’s a lot of stuff online that isn’t backed by research, it’s important to remember that when you read something always check the source/ credibility ?. Everything I talk about here is from my own experiences. I’m currently studying to become a qualified personal trainer and nutrition coach because it’s what I’m passionate about and I can’t wait to continue to share everything I’ve learned ??? let’s all just focus on supporting each other in being the best version of ourselves we can be. All I ever want to do here is motivate, inspire & connect ? #loveyourtribe

Oh the difference an angle/ pose makes to the ?. I love a good booty pose, I work hard for my gains and you bet I’m gonna try every angle to see max gains ???. But don’t forget that me (and many others) aren’t walking around with a constant booty poppin’, peachy, perfectly round butt ???. I still have cellulite on my butt and the thing jiggles!! Just remember when you’re scrolling through Insta and you think.. why doesn’t my booty look like that? Cause we’ve all got poses, angles, lighting, certain activewear/ clothes that do the things we want them to, to maximise the gains! ??? try these poses, I bet you’ll be surprised! ??? #keepingitreal #instagramvsreality #itsallaboutthepose

I appreciate that this isn’t the most direct or comparable photo, but the transformation isn’t just about what you SEE ?. The photo on the left was a very self conscious, uncomfortable, unconfident person ?. I’ve worked really hard physically and mentally to get to a place filled with more self love, self belief & confidence as well as physical strength ???. – How I got to where I am now ↓↓ ? played with diet – calories, macros, clean foods – what works for me won’t work for everyone. We all have different hormone balances and react differently to different diet types ? exercise type – from cardio and inconsistent training to training 5-6 times a week. I focus on weight training with low intensity cardio daily (walking to work) – I could tell you exactly what I did, but we’re all so unique and there are so many different approaches to achieving our goals. Stay consistent, train hard, eat well & you’ll get there ??

Friday check in & goal update: well I’ve been really great at achieving 2/3 of my goals… meditation and hitting macros ?? but I’ve only trained 3/5 days bc my trainer was sick for our Tuesday session so we didn’t train and now I’ve gotten sick ?. Guys my immune system is so shit!! Despite eating so well and training I always get sick if anyone around me has it. All about gut health and mine sucks ??? – Anyway I was kinda feeling a bit down for missing those training days (I can’t go over the weekend cause we’re flying to Melbourne).. ☁️☁️ but then I thought.. hold on, being a fit, healthy & active person is for life. There isn’t a major end goal and once I get there I stop. There are goals along the way, but this is a LIFESTYLE ⚡️⚡️. In the scheme of things, missing a couple days isn’t going to change much. – Your turn, did you achieve your goals set out for the week? I mean I know it’s only Friday morning here and Thursday night elsewhere but check in with me in the comments below ?? ? happy Friday!

✨✨ Wowee I thought it’d be really interesting to compare my weight and calories + the type of exercise I was doing to demonstrate the importance of exercise type! ???? I’ve only ever been a cardio person prior to lifting weights and it’s pretty clear what works best for me ✖️✖️. – I’ve been seeing a lot of fitness peeps writing that in order for your muscles to grow, you need to EAT MORE and this is true (for most), but it’s also important to be doing the type of exercise that builds muscle ??. I was eating a higher calorie diet than I am now but was doing mostly cardio for my exercise. If you wanna build muscle and sculpt that bod, then you gotta lift the weights ??‍♀️. – I’ve changed programs a bit, at the moment I’m doing 5 weight sessions a week, and I walk to and from work to keep my cardiovascular health in check ?. I was doing HIIT sessions before starting my new program and will be introducing cardio again ❤️. Any q’s comment below!! A few workouts on my website – link in bio ??☀️ Disclaimer* if you love cardio, then do cardio, I will never tell anyone not to do cardio – anything that gets you moving & active especially if you enjoy it is something I will always support ?.

Sorry for the bumpy vid! Some guy at the gym was lifting hella heavy and my lil tripod couldn’t deal ??… ok maybe that’s cause I’m thrusting 100kg ?.. A lot of peeps are starting to realise that to build a booty, it’s not all about the squats! #shesquats no more, #shehipthrusts for the booty & uses resistance bands! (Thanks @bretcontreras1) ???. I’m using @thewodlife Hip-X Band –> there are a lot of bands out there, but these are my favourite because they grip to your leggings/ legs really well (no folding or slipping like the others I used to use), and the resistance is NEXT LEVEL (see last few workouts I can’t even stretch my legs out haha). For those who struggle to feel glute exercises working the glute – using this kind of band will really enhance that burn ??? (use my code SOPHACTIVELIFE10 for 10% off). – THE WORKOUT ? hip thrust 100×8 ? raised single leg glute bridge x 12 each leg ? KB squats x 20 ? glute bridges x 20 ? side lying hip abduction x 12 each leg ? side lying clams x 12 each leg ? frog pumps x 50

If we don’t challenge our thoughts, who will? Long post alert ? It’s so easy to get caught up by what we see in social media land. Sometimes I feel like a fraud, I question how I can feel so strong and capable in the gym, but still seem to be storing fat all around my body. I read comments that tell me I’m goals, that I look amazing and I am SO grateful to each and every one of you ??but I worry that what I’m putting out there is creating a false image of what I really look like ?. And that’s on me! I post photos of myself flexing, I CAN look like my photos, but my photos aren’t me ALL DAY ??. – It’s so easy to fall victim to the likes you get here for showing abs, which then creates pressure (that I put on myself) to continue to look a certain way, so that one day when I do decide to start training people you put trust in my methods because I’m essentially a walking example ??. But it’s become really important to me, to focus more on my head and less on my abs ? – Do I feel better, worse or the same now as I did when I had 4% less body fat? Will reaching a goal ‘look’ make me happy? Will having a flat stomach which I’m probably not genetically capable of having remove the negative thoughts in my head or will they be replaced with new ones? These thoughts need to be challenged EVERY DAMN TIME ???? #keepingitreal #realtalk #reality #instagramvsreality #truthbomb
